After the 2014 Lacrosse NS, in discussion with our stakeholders at both the Club and Provincial level of play, discussed the best means in which to streamline the 'Exceptional Player Application Process'.

A committee consisting of Donna Goguen, Tom Aquanno, Julie Finck, and Greg Knight was struck, and the attached policy and form (PDF above) was the outcome of the work this committee produced. The policy was voted through by the LNS Board of Directors in January, and is now in effect for the 2015 playing season and beyond.

Note: This policy is only applicable to players intending to move up an age level in Provincial Team play. All League movement issues shall be dealt with by your local Club team or, League.

Deadlines

The attached policy states that the deadline for any applications for 'Excpetional Status' for Box Lacrosse shall be in by December 1st of the year prior to the season the applicant is applying for (i.e. December 2014 in application for the 2015 playing season).

As we have already passed the December 1st deadline the application deadline for the 2015 season only has been moved to Midnight on February 15th, 2015.

Field Lacrosse Applications for 'Exceptional Player Status' shall remain on the April 1st deadline for the 2015 playing season.
