June 23, 2016 – Lacrosse Nova Scotia (LNS) is pleased to announce that their bid was successful for the rights to host the 2017/2018 Female Box Lacrosse National Championships.
The Female National Box Lacrosse Championships are an annual event that showcases the top Canadian female athletes in the discipline of Box Lacrosse in the following age divisions;
Lacrosse NS does have experience with running this event, having hosted the Female National Box Lacrosse Championships back in 2013. An event which still boasts the record for having hosted the most teams at these Championships, to-date.
“LNS is thrilled to have been awarded the rights to host these Championships”, commented LNS President, Donna Goguen. “The growth of Female Box Lacrosse in Nova Scotia is astounding, and our women will be ready to put on a great performance on home soil!”.
The National Championship dates will be July 17 – 22, 2017, with the tournament venues to be determined. The dates for the 2018 iteration of the Championships will be announced in 2017.
Call for Logo ideas
To get the planning for the 2017 Female Nationals underway, LNS would like to put out a public call for logo ideas.
LNS wants to know what you think should be included in the logo that will be used on all official tournament clothing, communications, and distributions.
