Field Lacrosse Coaching Clinic
Competitive Introduction
THIS WEEKEND!!
Lacrosse Nova Scotia will be running a Competitive Introduction - Field Lacrosse Coaching Clinic from August 21st – 23rd.
The clinic will also be an opportunity for players to experience high performance field training suited for National, Team Canada and College programs with coach Rick Phillips – Current Director of Coaching with the Ontario Lacrosse Association.

Thursday, August 21st – Competitive Introduction: Classroom Session #1
Location: Halifax Forum – Seminar Room
Time: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Info: This is the first of two classroom sessions we will be offering. Clinic attendees need to only attend one of the two classroom sessions. The same material will be covered in each classroom session.
Thursday, August 21st – Meet and Greet with Rick Phillips – Master Coaching Facilitator & Former Director of Coaching for the CLA.
Location: Halifax Forum – Seminar Room
Time: 3:00pm – 6:00pm

Friday, August 22nd – Competitive Introduction: Classroom Session #2
Location: Halifax Forum – Seminar Room
Time: 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Info: This is the second of two classroom sessions we will be offering. Clinic attendees need to only attend one of the two classroom sessions. The same material will be covered in each classroom session.
Saturday, August 23rd – On Field Girls Session
Location: Wanderers Grounds
Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Info: The first week of NSFLL field with guest coach Rick Phillips who will include goalie specific training in the session. NSFLL coaches invite all to attend, and ask that you bring friends to try field lacrosse out! On-site registration will also take place.
Saturday, August 23rd – On Field Session
Location: Soccer NS – Subway Centre
Time: 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Info: This is the only on-field session we will be offering. This portion of the clinic is mandatory for training to be considered complete.
Saturday, August 23rd – NCAA Recruiting Info Session
Location: Halifax Forum – Seminar Room
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Info: LNS and NSFLL are hosting a recruiting talk for males and females interested in learning more about lacrosse opportunities and higher level education. Focus topics include the recruiting process, college coaches, player training, and information on upcoming NS travel teams. This session is free of charge.
Sunday, August 24th – Boys Field Lacrosse Session (through the NSFLL)
Location: Wanderers Grounds
Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
