School Lacrosse

Lacrosse is the oldest game in North America, played by indigenous people before Columbus came to America. It is the fastest growing sport in North America and one of the fastest growing in the Nova Scotia! 

School Lacrosse is a program that introduces the sport of Lacrosse to students in the school environment.

The program is run by our technical director, KJ Macneil. If you would like to book a time during school hours between September 2021 - April 2022, please contact KJ at lacrossetechdirector@sportnovascotia.ca. All spots are reserved on a first come first serve basis. 

The Program

Suggested age groups: Grades 2 – 12

Length: One class of 30 – 60 minutes

The class can be tailored to any age group with information covering:

  • Physical activity
  • Geography
  • Indigenous History and Culture of the Game
  • Games and Sports
  • Physical Activity

Equipment provided by LNS

  1. All necessary equipment including 25 sticks, 12 soft rubber balls suitable for indoor gymnasiums
  2. Visual materials as needed.
