Warrior Fatboy Face Protector Receives CSA Approval

The CLA is pleased to announce that the Canadian Safety Association (CSA) Group has recently approved the following Warrior Fatboy facemasks for the use in Lacrosse and is therefore permitted to use per CLA policy 12.4.2 –
- Model: Warrior Fatboy (sizes Jr and SR)
Please note that this Warrior face protector is a Type B mask and therefore is a full-face protector intended for use by players other than goalkeepers. The Warrior Fatboy facemask must be worn with a
CSA approved Hockey Helmet.
There are currently six CSA approved facemasks for lacrosse:
- Warrior Fatboy Jr & Sr *a photo of this mask can be found in appendix A
- Under Armour Model UA V96 (in size Jr & Sr)
- Under Armour CLA Mask (in size Jr & Sr)
- Marty O’Neill MX-13 (in size Youth & Sr)
- OTNY (in size Jr & Sr)
- Gait G7 (in size Jr & Sr)
Note: Equipment that violates the specifications contained in this bulletin will be removed from the game and, where required, appropriate penalties will be given.
