Peewee Select Female Team Announcement - Accepting Registrations

We are excited to announce an opportunity for Peewee aged female athletes to partake in a female Peewee select team for 2018. While this is not an LNS official program, it is sanctioned by LNS and this program is an idea generated by a group of coaches dedicated to growing the female box game here in Nova Scotia.  Cory Martin and Ryan Evong are organizing an on floor program with advice from the LNS Technical Director, KJ MacNeil.  MMLL Female Director, Catherine Martin, a strong proponent of female box lacrosse, will help administrate this team. 
 
Lacrosse Nova Scotia encourages all programs that will help to resource the rapid growth of the female game and this team will provide a development opportunity for those players who have an interest in bettering their skills, and potentially representing Nova Scotia on our Provincial Female teams in the future.
 
The goal that of those running this program is to develop this group of female athletes while keeping the team together throughout the season with further development possible through the off-season, if interest is strong. 
 
There will be  2 1-hr tryouts at a cost of $20/per player.
Sunday May 27th 2-3pm LeBrun Arena
Friday June 1st 7-8pm Rocky Lake Dome 
 
To register you must:
- be of peewee age this season (birth year 2006, 2007)
- currently be registered with an club/association
- Not playing on a current Provincial team (boys or girls) 
 
Once the team is selected the costs and expectations will be discussed with families (ie. tournaments, games, practices etc.).
