Welcome to the 2018 Nova Scotia Field Lacrosse League season. This season, we hope to contiune to grow the game, skills and enjoyment of all the players within the legue. Over the past few years we had success with our new format and will continue that this season to grow field lacrosse within Nova Scotia and increase opportunity for future generations of Nova Scotia field lacrosse players.

Age Divisions:
The NSFLL has made a few changes to age divisions to align and allow for increased opportunities for youth. 2017 NSFLL will be running, U13, U16 and Open (17+) age divisions.
Note: Due to limited number we will not continue the U9 development program. We are working on retooling this program for 2019.

Season:
Season will run from week of August 20th to week of October 15th, 2017, continuing to play at our new home at St. Stephen’s field (3669 Highland Avenue, Halifax).

Practice:
Each divison will have ONE practice a week. Practices will be hosted during the week, in the evening from 6 – 8pm at St. Stephen’s field (3669 Highland Avenue, Halifax). These practices will focus on individual skill development, but also on team concepts for field lacrosse.

Games:
U13, U16 will play games on Sunday evening from 5 – 8pm (U13 – 5pm, U16 6:30pm) at St. Stephen’s field (3669 Highland Avenue, Halifax). Teams will be divided before the game to allow more opportunities for youth to develop skill in game situation. All games will have certified officials to ensure safety and rules are being enforced.

Both programs, U13 and U16, will also take part in 3 Jamborees across the Maritimes, providing opportunity for youth to engage with other players while increasing lacrosse IQ. For information on the Jamborees is provided below.

Maritime Jamborees:
Continuing from last year success, each province will host a Jamboree within their own province. All teams will be entered into the three Jamborees which will happen in the month of September (earlier than last year in hope of avoiding hockey). Location and dates has not been determined, but below are dates for each Jamboree.

PEI - TBA
NB - TBA
Division Fees:
