GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Indiana Tech seniors Jennifer Banks and Bailey Childs were honored by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) as the Women's Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Banks scored 11 goals and tallied three assists on the week to lead the Warriors in goals and points (14) while helping the team go 3-0, including an upset over No. 3-ranked University of the Cumberlands. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native scored a career-high six goals in the win over Madonna University on Wednesday.

Childs led the Warriors in draw controls (18) and ground balls (7) while adding seven goals and three assists. The Savage, Minnesota native helped anchor a Tech defense that limited its opponents to just nine goals per game.

It's the first time this season that both players have won the weekly award while it's the second time in Childs' career that's she's won either the Offensive or Defensive award.
