U19 Women's Field Provincial Team Head Coach Announced

Lacrosse NS is pleased to announce the U19 Women's Field Head Coach - Kristen Fortune. Kristen has played a mix of box and field lacrosse over the last 10 years, most recently playing for Dalhousie University on an academic exchange from her alma mater, The University of Waterloo. A first time Head Coach with the Bluenose League, Kristen has experience as an assistant coach for HSSC’s inaugural ice hockey cohort, and the Nova Scotia Special Needs Lacrosse Club. Professionally, Kristen works at Innovacorp leading a variety of programs to accelerate Nova Scotia’s high potential technology start-ups.
 
Assisting Kristen will be Assistant Coaches, KJ MacNeil and Julie Finck-Doucette, both of whom have several years of Women's Field coaching experience under their belt, with Finck-Doucette doubling as a WF Coach Facilitator, as well. 

Coaches will be involved with Identification/Tryout Camps beginning this weekend. Info on these tryouts and registration can be found below;

The U19 Women's Field Provincial Team will be holding tryouts this month (dates below). This team will be working towards attending the U19 Women's Field Lacrosse National Championships, held in Peterborough, Ontario August 5 - 6, 2019, as well as the U19 World Championships Festival August 7-10, also held in Peterborough, ON (https://2019u19wclax.wordpress.com/festival/)

Tryout Location

All tryouts will take place at the indoor turf at Newbridge Academy in Dartmouth - 361 John Savage Ave, Dartmouth, NS B3B 0J3

U19 Women's Field
Saturday, May 18th 10:30am - 12:00pm 
Sunday, May 19th 9:30am - 11:00am 
Saturday, May 25th 1:00pm - 2:30pm 
Sunday, May 26th 10:30am - 12:00pm 

Cost

The cost to tryout is $75/person. 

All players must register online before stepping on the field.

If you are a returning player, please select 'Yes' on the question 'Are you a returning player?'. If you are a returning player, you will be asked to enter your access code. If you have your access code, please enter it in the appropriate box.

If you do not know what your access code is, please click on the blue text 'What's my access code?'.

You will then be asked to provide the name and DOB of the athlete in question, and the access code will be emailed to the address stored in the database, associated with that athlete's profile.
