Weekly Sessions Start on Thursday, January 9th
The Halifax Hurricanes Lacrosse Association is pleased to announce that we will be running a FREE weekly Winter Lacrosse program.
All sessions are at Rockingham Elementary School, Bedford. Thursday Nights Coaches: Andrew MacNeil & Malcolm Westhaver 6:00 - 7:00 – for those aged 10 and under (Novice and Tyke ages) 7:00 – 8:00 – for those aged 11 (or turning 11 by summer) and up (PeeWee and Bantam ages)
Coaches Andrew MacNeil and Malcolm Westhaver will be returning again this year to run another fantastic program. Both are former Halifax Hurricanes Jr A and Bishop’s University players and Andrew is head coach of the Halifax Hurricanes Jr A team and a current member of the coaching team for Dalhousie men’s lacrosse.
These sessions are great for both returning players working on their skills and for brand new players wanting to give lacrosse a try. We are encouraging current players to bring a friend and introduce them to the sport. Bring sneakers, helmet (with a face shield), hockey or ringette gloves and a water bottle. And a stick if you have one. There will be sticks available for those who don’t have one.
Starts January 9 - last session April 2.
Exceptions - no session on Thursday Feb 27 or March 19.
See you Thursday!
Additional Notes: Players should bring helmets, gloves and sticks. There will be extra sticks for brand new players wanting to give lacrosse a try. Parents or guardians must fill out a 2020 Waiver on the player's first night. In case of school closure, lacrosse will be cancelled.
