Hello, All!

As you know, Lacrosse NS had to postpone our fall programming on Nov 23rd when Public Health Guidelines changed and HRM facilities closed. Recently, t
he Provincial Government announced updated Public Health regulations. As the regulations relate to sport, effective December 21, sports will be able to practice/train with groups of up to 25 without social distancing. The number of 25 would include all participants in the sporting activity, (coaches, trainers, etc.), as is consistent with all previous regulations. Games, competition, and events are not permitted and no spectators are allowed. These regulations will be in effect until January 11, 2021.

All our programming was scheduled to end by December 15th and we did not plan any programming over the holiday season to January 9th at the earliest. Despite the regulation changes, we have not changed that plan. We will re-start and continue our fall programs in the New Year. We would like to give families holiday time together and allow a bit more time to ensure the safety of all our participants. We will send an update on planned re-start timing early in January 2021.

We will continue all our programs as long as Public Health Guidelines allow. These programs include our Canada Games Fall Invitational Programs, our grassroots Male and Female 22U+ programs on Tuesday nights and our Friday night Truro Bearcats Fall Lacrosse.  We will be especially excited to re-start our Black Youth Try Lacrosse Program on Sunday afternoons.

There will be a delay in start time of our normal winter high performance Flight (17U), Flight Light (14U) and 12U programs. We are also planning a winter program for Black Youth Try Lacrosse so that we can build on the fall program. We will provide information about all these and other grassroots programs early in January, as well.

On behalf of the Lacrosse Nova Scotia Board, KJ and Donna, we wish everyone a very Happy Holiday Season! We know that this season will be different but with patience and a spirit of goodwill to all, we will get through. We look forward to seeing everyone again at the Gray Arena, on the floor, in 2021. We will work hard to bring lacrosse back in NS, stronger than ever!
