Call Out for Girls! U13 Girls Team NS!

LNS has a “new” and exciting opportunity for U13 females born 2011/2012 to represent Nova Scotia on a National level. 
 
“In the grand scheme of things, we are trying to grow lacrosse! Experience in lacrosse is not a pre-requisite for these tryouts. I am looking to find athletes who are eager to learn, work hard and develop in a team atmosphere. Everyone who attends the tryouts will be considered for the program.”

Lacrosse Nova Scotia wants to offer the same provincial team options for girls as are available for boys.  This year, Lacrosse Canada is sanctioning a National Invitational playing opportunity being offered by Saskatchewan Lacrosse, hosts of the Lacrosse Canada National Minor Box Championships for 2023.  We know the hosts will ensure that the U13 Girls provincial teams have all the bells and whistles that the rest of the teams attending Nationals will have. 

This is all new to most in this age group so we are sharing this information to encourage girls to come out for this team.

Tournament Dates: Wed,  August 16 (travel day); Thursday Aug 17-19 tournament play, Sun Aug 20 travel day.
Tournament Destination: Regina, Saskatchewan
Head Coach: Gord Black
Costs?  Flight, hotel, Team NS jerseys and clothing, some equipment (optional to be determined by team), practice floor time.  All these things can be fundraised for!

These teams will be in the closing ceremonies, be part of trading afterwards, have tourist options and other team activities planned for all participating teams.
 
This Nationals will host U17, U15 and U13 boys and girls and will be an exciting lacrosse event to attend.  This U13 Girls Team NS and attending tournament will be a building block for future provincial and national lacrosse for girls, particularly at this level.
